About 6:19 Health and Fitness
How it all started:
I will never forget going into a patient’s room with COPD. She was admitted to the hospital for shortness of breath. She was hoping to get some medications to help relieve her shortness of breath, but the pulmonologist just told her “You are overweight. You need to lose some weight.” When I walked in the room the patient was in tears. After years of forming bad habits- how exactly was she going to do that? She looked so helpless. This story is far too common. I have cared about my patients enough to really think past the immediate care that they need when they are really sick. I started thinking about long term health and fitness and how it can be applied.
After using Beachbody’s many effective programs for myself with great results, I decided to look into the business side of it- just for fun! I really liked their motto “End the Trend of Obesity.”
So here I am. I am a nurse, a Beachbody Coach, and a wife and a mom. I have been married to my best friend for 6 years. We have the cutest baby girl. My husband frequently travels on mission trips to SE Asia, Cuba, and Mexico. I hope to join him on more trips as our kids get older. I am excited about everything I continue to learn as a nurse as well as all that I am learning about health and fitness through coaching. I love using these skills and helping people, and I am hoping to expand that to third-world countries as well.
